Educational principles

Educating in a comprehensive way

The educational center should be a place of constant pursuit of the integral development of the person, making possible a harmonious and balanced development that encompasses all abilities: personal, social, intellectual, religious, communicative, emotional, artistic, etc. This desire to guide each person to their fullest potential, both in their individual and social dimensions as well as in the transcendental, is based on forming free individuals, connected to others, within an educational environment of trust, seeking a climate of eagerness and joy for learning, development of personal effort, inner commitment, and autonomy.

Educating in Christian values

Teaching is a unique opportunity to transmit values that shape individuals into free and responsible citizens, with life goals that improve human coexistence and solve the problems facing our society today. As it is clear that the way values are understood is not always equivalent, nor are they interchangeable, this Educational Project is based on values of Christian inspiration, always open to all and always useful for finding valid approaches to existence and questioning the meaning of life.

Educating with the family

An effective educational action, especially regarding values, attitudes, and work habits, requires close coordination between the family and the school.

Educating in freedom and for freedom

Education should empower the individual to make free and responsible choices between the various options life offers at every moment. The goal is to shape individuals who are committed to the society they live in, respecting democratic principles and values, and encouraging them to be involved in the defense of peace, solidarity, justice, and the environment.

Educating in openness and diversity

Education should promote the practice of debate and dialogue, creating opportunities that allow for the exchange of opinions in all areas, as well as fostering a tolerant and peaceful coexistence where small conflicts, which are always part of living together, are managed, promoting the improvement of social skills, a climate of consensus, and the responsible agreement of all involved parties.

Educating for commitment

The essence of educational excellence is the training of students, not only as well-educated citizens and professionals with knowledge and skills, but also to enable them to personally commit to actively transforming society, so that its structures and elements align more each day with the values of justice, coexistence, and human development.

Educating for personal autonomy

Each individual will be helped to discover and develop the traits of their personal identity, to learn to know and accept their limits, to value and conquer their abilities, to exercise their memory, project their intelligence, and strengthen their will, so that principles of reflection and personal action criteria are consolidated in each person, affirming their individuality and focusing their efforts on personal self-improvement.

Educating the social dimension

The goal is for each person to develop a sense of respect and appreciation for others, as well as for the role each individual plays, and to learn to interact in an open, affectionate, dialogical, supportive, and generous manner. Each personal life project is integrated into a broader, universal one, and education provides guidelines for active participation that develop the ability to responsibly influence social life. In this regard, volunteer activities will be promoted, such as acts of solidarity, accompanying the sick, and helping those in need.

Educating in teamwork

Parents, teachers, school management, counselors, chaplaincy, administrative and service staff, and students all must form a true school community in which each person feels part of a shared, significant task with which they identify. Creating a positive school environment, where respect, a constructive and positive spirit, responsibility, solidarity, and motivation to unite forces in order to achieve the educational goals aspired to by the entire school community, will be a great incentive to work as a team, creating an identity that transcends every individual and is built collectively among all members.

Educating for leisure

In our current social structure, there are considerable periods of time in leisure contexts that play a fundamental role in a person’s socialization. Educating for these moments and, at the same time, without distorting their nature, within those very moments, is essential for personal development.

Educating aesthetic aptitude

Nature and art have always been a privileged space for encountering the highest values. This attitude is reflected in the very design of the school building, the importance given to the premises, the dedication to artistic and scientific-natural programs, the care of musical education, and the commitment to participate in any institutional programs available to us.

Educating in openness to the world

Beyond the educational offering in foreign languages, the mindset of this project reflects an international dimension that seeks the appreciation of other cultures and understands that new citizens should view the international community as the natural realm of their citizenship and professional action. In this regard, great importance is placed on exchanges, educational trips, stays abroad, and all available institutional programs.

Educating for sports and healthy living

The human being must carefully and responsibly take care of the development of their own body, ensuring it is active, full, vigorous, healthy, and self-controlled. To achieve this, they must acquire habits of body care through physical exercise, hygiene, and a balanced diet. From the very design of the facilities to the commitment to developing sports activities within the school, as well as the provision of a dining service for all educational levels, this provides excellent reinforcement for education in these essential habits for the students’ development. These habits also find their appropriate place within the curriculum planning of the relevant departments and teams.
